- Newland communities are often counted in the top 20 selling communities in the nation. In 2008, during one of the largest downturns in the real estate industry, Newland's communities in Houston-metro (Cinco Ranch, Eagle Springs, Telfair), Goodyear, Arizona (Estrella) and Tampa, Florida (FishHawk Ranch) all saw increases in new-home sales over the previous year (2007).
Great Community Amenities
Whenever possible, we work hard to build amenities at the start of the community construction. This means if you are one of the first to move there, it won't be too long before you can enjoy things such as swimming pools, tennis courts, hiking and biking paths and activity centers, right in your own community.
In many of our communities, we create special 'third places' that make our communities come to life providing places to get together with friends, family and co-workers.

- In 2008, Newland's efforts to build green were shown when Symphony Park, a new mixed-use community in Las Vegas was awarded Gold Certification status under stage 2 of the LEED®-ND (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for New Development) green building rating system. Also, Newland opened Briar Chapel in North Carolina, the first community in the Raleigh/Durham area to require homebuilders to comply with the rigorous new-home construction requirements and third party testing of the North Carolina Green Build Initiative. Future communities built by Newland are planned to be enduring and sustainable for generations to come.
