Regional President, Central Region

 

Ted provides operational and senior leadership to the development of Newland’s residential master-planned, commercial, retail and urban mixed-use real estate projects in Texas and the Midwest. Ted leads the growth strategy for the Central region through oversight and coordination of acquisition opportunities including sourcing, due diligence, contracting and closing of all acquisition activity. Prior to joining Newland, Ted served as Vice President/General Manager for Terrabrook’s Houston operation and in a regional capacity in Texas. He began his career with The Woodlands Development Corporation in its residential development division. He also served in several capacities for American General Land Development’s (predecessor to Terrabrook) Houston operations. Ted received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas and did post graduate study in accounting at the University of Houston. Ted is a member of the Urban Land Institute and serves on its Senior Housing Council as well as a member of the executive committee of the local Houston, Texas chapter. He also serves on the executive committee of the West Houston Association and is a past chairman.

 

 

Rick Croteau

Regional President, East Region

 

Rick provides operational and senior leadership to the development of Newland’s residential master-planned, commercial, retail and urban mixed-use real estate projects in Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. Rick leads the growth strategy for the East region through oversight and coordination of acquisition opportunities including sourcing, due diligence, contracting and closing of all acquisition activity. Rick has over 25 years of real estate experience in 26 markets throughout the US. Prior to joining Newland, he was a Senior Vice President with Terrabrook, holding regional and national management positions on investment committees and all Joint Venture Boards. Previous to Terrabrook, Rick was Vice President and General Manager of Mobil Land Development Corporation’s Texas Region. At Mobil he worked in the international real estate services group doing in-house office and industrial site selection and leasing. Rick has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Rhode Island. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute.

 

 

 

Dave Wood

Dave Wood

Regional President, Northwest Region

 

Dave provides operational and senior leadership to the development of the company’s residential master-planned, commercial, retail and urban mixed-use real estate projects in Oregon and Washington. He leads the growth strategy for the Northwest region through oversight and coordination of acquisition opportunities including sourcing, due diligence, contracting and closing of all acquisition activity. Dave has been with Newland for over 30 years, serving as Regional President for the Northwest since the late 1990s. During this time he oversaw the development of many real estate projects including Fisher’s Landing, a 2,100-acre mixed-use community comprised of approximately 7,000 single- and multifamily units, a 160-acre commercial Town Center, corporate headquarters and industrial site located in Vancouver, Washington. In 1992, Dave was the recipient of the Builder of the Year award in Clark County, and has since shared his time and expertise with organizations like the National Homebuilders Association. Dave holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from the University of Washington.

 

Greg Bielli

Regional President, West Region

 

Greg provides operational and senior leadership to the development of Newland’s residential master-planned, commercial, retail and urban mixed-use real estate projects in Arizona, California, Colorado and Nevada. Greg leads the growth strategy for the West region through oversight and coordination of acquisition opportunities including sourcing, due diligence, contracting and closing of all acquisition activity. Also, Greg is a member of Newland’s Investment Committee. Prior to joining Newland, Greg was Executive Vice President of Development for Medallist Developments, Inc. of Jupiter, Florida, where he managed all aspects of three master-planned communities. Previously, Greg was President of MCO Properties in Fountain Hills, Arizona where he led all aspects of the company's real estate projects and associated businesses, including development, golf and realty. He also served as Vice Mayor and Councilman for the City of Scottsdale from 1990-1998. Greg is a graduate of the University of Arizona, Tucson and a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Community Development Council and the Executive Committee of the Arizona District Council of ULI.

 

 

Rita Brandin

Senior Vice President and Development Director

 

Rita provides operational and senior leadership to Newland's commercial and urban mixed-use development projects. Under Rita's direction, Newland leads the development of Symphony Park, a 61-acre downtown public-private mixed-use development with the City of Las Vegas as landowner. She also supports the company’s effort in the identification of institutional capital. Rita has more than 20 years experience in real estate asset management and development. Prior to joining Newland she was Vice President of Asset Management and Retail Development with additional responsibilities as Chief Operating Officer at Metroflag Management LLC. Before this she was Senior Vice President of Retail Development for The Howard Hughes Corporation and Vice President and Senior Development Director for The Rouse Company where she oversaw the expansion and redevelopment of Fashion Show, the largest shopping center in Nevada. Rita received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Agnes Scott College, in Atlanta, Georgia, and a space planning and design degree from The Art Institute of Atlanta. She is a certified Shopping Center Manager, a professional designation awarded by the International Council of Shopping Centers and is a member of the Urban Land Institute serving on its Urban Mixed-Use Council, and on the Executive Board of the Las Vegas chapter.
